Jillian Griffin

Jillian joined the Jasculca Terman team in 2008 with significant experience developing and implementing public relations campaigns for national, regional and local clients in the private and public sectors.

Jillian recently traveled to Cairo, Egypt, to manage international media relations and message development for the first-ever Global Sister Cities and Twinning Summit, which brought together citizen diplomacy leaders from more than 30 countries around the globe. Hosted by Washington D.C-based Sister Cities International, the summit received coverage in publications such as The Daily News Egypt, International Herald Tribune and Al-Masry Al-Youm.

For the past three years, Jillian has managed media and outreach for Earth Hour, a high-profile global campaign founded by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF). Her work has resulted in widespread recognition and participation from Chicago’s corporate and civic communities, as well as millions of individual participants. Jillian also manages the Earth Hour steering committee, a diverse group of civic organizations, schools, corporations and trade associations.

Jillian has coordinated media and outreach for other large-scale events, including the 2010 Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO) Convention, Special Olympics’ “Born in Chicago” 40th Anniversary celebration, and Chicago’s bid for the 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Jillian also served on the ComEd/JT communications team for the high-profile passage of The Energy Infrastructure Modernization Act in October 2011.

Prior to joining JT, Jillian worked for Taylor Johnson and Associates where she focused on communication strategies, media relations and event management for a variety of clients in the residential and commercial real estate industry.

Jillian graduated from Ohio University with a degree in telecommunications and a specialization in journalism.

In her free time, Jillian loves catching up with her DVR, playing tennis, traveling to warm places (specifically Arizona), and eating at her favorite restaurant in Chicago, Topo Gigio.
