Over the past 75 years Manny’s Delicatessen & Cafeteria has become a cultural institution in Chicago. It’s a must-hit stop for politicians on Election Day and a staple for elected officials visiting Chicago.
JT worked with Manny’s to coordinate event logistics and media relations for their 75th Anniversary Celebration on July 31, 2017. More than 200 Chicagoans attended including longtime customers, Mayor Emanuel, politicians and other Chicago notables. Wanting to give back to the community, Manny’s turned its celebration into a fundraiser, and 100% of the proceeds from the event were given to the Illinois Restaurant Association Education Foundation.
Onsite at the event, JT managed registration, event flow and the speaking program, which included remarks from Mayor Emanuel. In addition to event and media work, the JT video team produced a congratulatory video that was played at the event. The video included well wishes from customers, family members, politicians and notables, including Mayor Rahm Emanuel, David Axelrod, Senators Duckworth and Durbin, and more.
JT also managed the compilation and design of Manny’s Memories, a recipe and memory book that was created in commemoration of its milestone anniversary.
