THE APPROACH

JT develops and implements public affairs strategies that highlight DeVry’s valuable role in the U.S. higher education landscape and showcase its success to decision-makers and influencers. Our work includes civic and community outreach, public policy events, government relations support, and development of messages and materials that underscore DeVry’s commitment to student success.

THE RESULTS

Through events, programs and partnerships, JT has helped DeVry reach critical influencers (and indirectly, potential students) and showcase the success of its schools and its students, as well as the company’s commitment to meeting America’s growing higher education needs. Our achievements include an annual policy forum in Washington, D.C. on emerging issues in higher education. U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan keynoted the first forum, and the events have been featured in the Chronicle of Higher Education and Diverse Issues in Higher Education. We developed a unique program introducing high school girls to careers in technology that has reached thousands. We have managed dozens of local forums with business and legislative leaders on various workforce development issues. We helped establish and nurture key partnerships with public and private institutions such as Chicago Public Schools, U.S. Chamber of Commerce and CEOs for Cities. And we have managed public policy advocacy campaigns that promote the needs of nontraditional students.
