For the ninth consecutive year, 100 percent of Urban Prep seniors have been admitted to a four-year college or university. JT is proud to have been there from the beginning, helping the young men of Urban Prep celebrate this major accomplishment at the school’s annual Signing Day event held in Daley Plaza.
100 percent of the seniors at Urban Prep’s Englewood, West and Bronzeville Campuses, all African-American males, have been accepted to four-year colleges and universities. To celebrate, Urban Prep shared its commitment to “100% Forever” and why it is expected that future classes will continue this signature Urban Prep tradition at its annual Signing Day event held in Daley Plaza on May 15.
Students have been admitted to four-year universities, including Northwestern University, Georgetown University, UCLA, Morehouse College, University of Pennsylvania, University of Southern California, Boston College, Pomona College, University of Virginia and Ohio State University. Urban Prep seniors have received more than 870 admissions to 199 different colleges and universities across the country and received more than $9.4 million in scholarships and grants. This year, one Urban Prep senior was identified as a Posse Scholar – a highly competitive scholarship process resulting in a four-year, full-tuition leadership scholarship.
