This past weekend, JT was honored to have had the opportunity to host our annual media training for the Illinois Women’s Institute for Leadership.

This past weekend, JT was honored to have had the opportunity to host our annual media training for the Illinois Women’s Institute for Leadership (IWIL) – an organization working to successfully prepare and propel women to take on elected and appointed positions to advance Democratic ideals through an eight-month fellowship. JT has provided this training for IWIL classes since 2004. IWIL was founded by Loretta Durbin, wife of Senator Dick Durbin, after discussions at the 2000 Democratic National Convention. In 2002, the organization graduated its first class of Fellows.

The two-day training included a Friday session dedicated to social media best practices, channel management and the importance of social listening. Our time on Saturday focused on media interview preparation and skills-building training.

The IWIL Fellows are truly inspiring and ready to change the world. JT is proud to play a small part in their work.
