The Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce is no stranger to events. In fact, bringing people and businesses together is at the core of their mission. When the stay-at-home order went into effect, they were faced with trying to find a meaningful way to come together for their 116th Annual Meeting of the Membership.

With so much impacting the business community between the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as the racial injustices brought to light in the wake of the murders of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor and countless others, it was important to the Chamber to continue to provide the leadership and support to and advocacy for its members.

JT worked with the Chamber as event producers helping develop a compelling program that blended the perfect mix of leadership, diverse voices and engaging discussions – while maintaining business procedures required during their annual membership meeting.

Specifically, JT and the Chamber, along with our production partners at Frost, were able to create a program that perfectly blended pre-recorded and live production elements. We pre-recorded speeches both in-studio and via Zoom, edited self-shot videos by small business members that served as transitions between speakers, drafted remarks for Chamber leaders, and prepped a live panel featuring Tom Ricketts, Chairman, Chicago Cubs; Ted Phillips, President & CEO, Chicago Bears; Michael Reinsdorf, President & COO, Chicago Bulls; and moderated by Jim Rose, Sports Anchor/Reporter, ABC 7.

More than 500 people tuned in for the virtual event.
