JT partnered with the Illinois Institute of Technology to maximize media attention for the grand opening of its first new academic building in nearly 40 years. The Ed Kaplan Family Institute for Innovation and Tech Entrepreneurship is the new 70,000 square foot home for fostering collaboration on hands-on, project-based work to develop the diverse technical talent needed in today’s business world.
With just three weeks ahead of the grand opening, we pulled together a comprehensive media strategy, a media list targeting local and national media, story pitches, the news release, media advisory, student demonstration descriptions, and coordinated with the Mayor’s press office, business partners, and other stakeholders. We also helped with stage management and program flow and created ready-to-use content ahead of time and day-of that Illinois Tech posted throughout the event.
We secured some high-profile stories, including a major photo spread in Crain’s Chicago Business and TV and news radio coverage, and are continuing our work on longer lead opportunities.
JT was proud to once again team up with Susan Axelrod, founder of Citizens United for Research in Epilepsy (CURE), and her husband, David, as they celebrated the 20th Anniversary of the organization with a star-studded program
JT is honored to team up with Senator Durbin on the launch of the HEAL Initiative, which aims to reduce violence in Chicago neighborhoods.
