ADA 25 Chicago was a regional initiative launched in April 2015 to celebrate and leverage the 25th anniversary year of the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) to move the needle for increased access for and inclusion of people with disabilities.


JT served as the campaign’s communications partner, providing overarching strategic counsel and coordination of the initiative’s work, communications, outreach (including sponsorship), event planning and management, and digital services (including website, social media and video production).


  • More than 200 partner organizations committed to launching new programs or initiatives to advance the mission of ADA 25 Chicago.
  • More than 60 media stories from 30 outlets and publications across the City and suburbs.
  • Four million people engaged through social media.
  • More than 131 partner events – large and small – in the City, suburbs and neighboring counties to elevate various commitments and celebrate the anniversary year.
  • More than 150 accessible performances and cultural events at institutions across the region, and a commitment by 30 organizations to continue implementing regular accessible options for their patrons.
