Introducing the New JT Series with "Advanceman" Rick Jasculca

Rick Jasculca, chairman and co-founder of Jasculca Terman Strategic Communications has been living politics for 50 years, from his time attending the 1964 Democratic National Convention in Atlantic City as Young Illinois Democrat to serving as a special consultant to the White House—and Advance Lead—during the Carter and Clinton Administrations to playing a role in nearly every Democratic National Convention since 1968.

Before 2020, he would have said “I’ve seen it all,” but 2020 has certainly introduced a new wave of “these are unprecedented times” and “history making” moments. But, maybe the most common phrase these days, “what a shitshow,” uttered by many, including Rick’s 12-year old grandson, after watching his first ever Presidential Debate last week.

Join Rick and the friends he’s made along the way, as JT launches a new web series “Perception Reception.”

This series will feature the men and women who have been behind the scenes of politics for decades helping shape policy and perception.

Kicking off the series, a conversation between Rick Jasculca and his longtime friend, former Clinton White House Press Secretary, Mike McCurry, who also had a long tenure as Co-Chair of the nonpartisan Commission on Presidential Debates. Mike is now a distinguished professor and director of the Center for Public Theology at Wesley Theological Seminary, where his work focuses on the intersection of faith, politics and public affairs. Mike also serves “of counsel” at Public Strategies Washington, where he provides counsel on communications strategies and management to a wide range of corporate and nonprofit clients.
