Mayor Emanuel Joins JT Client the Chicago Shakespeare Theater with Navy Pier, Inc. to Announce New Stage
Mayor Emanuel joined JT client the Chicago Shakespeare Theater with Navy Pier, Inc. to announce “The Yard,” a third Chicago Shakespeare stage that will serve as a vibrant, year-round cultural hub on Navy Pier. The project repurposes components of the venue formerly known as Skyline Stage, located adjacent to Chicago Shakespeare. The year-round, flexible venue can be configured in a variety of shapes and sizes with audience capacities ranging from 150 to 850, defining the audience–artist relationship to best serve each production. In the Fall, JT helped Chicago Shakespeare announce Shakespeare 400 Chicago, a year-long festival bringing together more than 60 of Chicago’s cultural institutions to celebrate the life and legacy of William Shakespeare.
