Founded in 1981, JT pioneered the practice of public affairs in the Chicago market by applying the strategic and tactical discipline of political campaigns to the management of public policy issues, crisis situations and social marketing initiatives, and to the advancement of reputations and brands.
From our base in Chicago, we serve as a strategic communications partner to corporate, institutional, not-for-profit and public-sector clients across the Midwest, the United States and abroad.
Clients turn to JT for high-impact communications services that advance business and policy goals. We deliver compelling messages through multiple communications channels and by engaging and motivating target constituencies to take action.
With more than 20 communications professionals and support personnel, we have the depth and agility to handle fast-moving, multidimensional campaigns as well as more focused, short-term projects.
In 2022, JT joined the Public Affairs and Advocacy Alliance, a national network of established and well-connected companies in key regions where policies are developed that often make their way across the country, including Sacramento, the Silicon Valley, Washington, D.C., Chicago, Atlanta, Houston, Lansing, and Albany. Through the Alliance, JT provides lobbying, public affairs and public relations services in markets coast-to-coast.

Chairman
For over four decades, Rick Jasculca has been a leader in the field of strategic communications and special events management, first as an executive of an independent Chicago-based public relations firm, and, since 1981, as Chairman of JT.
Vice Chairman
As co-founder of JT, Jim is actively involved in many of the firm’s projects. He oversees work on crisis communications assignments and directs JT’s corporate administration.
Chief Executive Officer and Managing Partner
Mary joined JT in 1985 with a background in health care and not-for-profit public relations and was named managing partner in January 2011 and CEO in February 2018.
Chief Operating Officer
Lauren joined Jasculca Terman in 2004 and works on a variety of projects with both public and private sector clients.
Senior Vice President, Events and Stage Production
Since joining JT in 2006, Karla has coordinated logistics for many client events including the Special Olympics Global Law Enforcement Torch Run, the AFL-CIO Democratic Presidential Forum, and 1871’s grand opening, among others.
Executive Vice President
Holly provides firmwide client services, including creative and strategy development, customized communications training, crisis communications management, major writing assignments and facilitation of focus groups.
Director of Accounting
Febie handles all accounting and financial tasks, including general ledger, financial reporting and analysis, productivity and variance analysis, accounts receivable and payable, cash management, commercial and health insurance and payroll.
Senior Vice President
James has worked for clients spanning a variety of fields, including not-for-profits, energy, pension funds, state and local government, life sciences, and legislative and public advocacy.
At JT, Nell helps support a variety of projects, including helping create media content for Brookfield Zoo and developing external newsletters for Lurie’s REACH. She also assists with messaging and research for BP.
Creative Director
Kevin provides his skills with both traditional video and animation to a variety of projects, delivering innovative and high-quality visuals to advance client messaging and goals.
Senior Vice President
Since joining JT in 2001, Marci has managed public affairs, media, and grassroots community relations campaigns for diverse corporate, public and non-profit clients.
Director of Digital Strategies
Morgan McDonough joined JT in August 2021 with a background in political campaigning, public education teaching, and education policy. He now brings his experience to various JT projects working on issues such as youth empowerment, environment, public health, community development and public infrastructure.
Senior Advisor, Government Affairs
Jonathan is an accomplished corporate and government/public affairs executive and civic leader with a proven record of providing legislative/regulatory expertise and guidance to businesses, institutions, governmental bodies, and professional and trade organizations.
Senior Vice President
Jessica provides senior counsel and leadership to support corporate, non-profit and government clients.
Director of Technology
Erik joined JT at the end of 2017, bringing with him over 25 years of IT, publishing/preflight, digital asset and data management experience.
Account Executive
Claire joined JT in January 2024 after graduating from Michigan State University with a degree in Social Relations and Policy.
Digital Content Specialist
Jonny Fluger joined JT in June 2024, bringing a wealth of experience in graphic design, social media management, and video editing. At JT, Jonny supports a diverse portfolio of clients with social media management, digital advertising, and more.
Junior Account Executive
Megan joined JT in January 2024 after graduating from Marquette University with a degree in Public Relations.
